JULY 24TH-Joshua's 8th birthday
This year Joshua has a goal. He wants to see how much money we can raise on line for Joshua's Journey. His goal is $500.00! What a great idea!!! Lets help in towards his goal. Go to the secure online donation page and help him meet it or beat it!!!

Today Joshua had to have surgery to repair yet another port. This port unfortunatley broke off in the center rather than breaking off at the vein wich is what happened in April when he had his second port replaced. Now on number three, we are hoping that the third time is a charm and we don't ever have to do this again. He is resting comfortably at home now and misses being able to swim as this has to be a no-no for the next 10 days or so.
His new port has once again been moved and is now located at his right collarbone area. The first port put in July 2008 was on his left chest wall. April we relocated it to his right chest wall. Now that it is located higher and the main vein being used is through the juggular vein in his neck, we are hoping this will allow him more physical use without seperating. The procedure took about two hours and the surgeon said he did very well. We will return to the hospital on the 15th of July for a follow up to ensure good healing and no infection.
